BOO! Happy (almost) Halloween! Spooky season is upon us, and with it comes colder weather, candy, and—spookiest of all for us students—deadlines. We hope you’re taking the time to care for yourself during this busy season! We’ve been busy here at Young Adulting too, and can’t wait to dive into our updates.
YAing Updates
First, let’s start with what’s been going on here at Young Adulting in the latter half of October. We’ve published some marvellous reviews this month. Here’s a recap:
- “Lewis Carroll may have asked Alice to wonder: “How doth the Little Crocodile…?” but readers don’t need to ponder that poem any longer, because Eva Montanari’s little crocodile shares everything he experiences and hears as he goes about his daily life.” Vanessa Bedford Gill reviews What Does Little Crocodile Say At The Park? by Eva Montanari
- “Watt seems to recognize that Scaredy might be a relatable figure to readers and includes a positive moral for those who see themselves as the nervous protagonist. Scaredy learns that slowly stepping out of his comfort zone provides a positive experience.” Kaitlyn Chan reviews Scaredy Squirrel in a Nutshell by Melanie Watt
While we are busy behind the scenes editing more reviews, we will be publishing reviews each Thursday. We will be back to posting two reviews a week as soon as possible!
