Vancouver has turned into a snow globe these past few days! Winter may have had a late start here, but it is certainly making up for it this week. So grab a blanket and get cozy by the fireplace (or by a candle) as we dive into what’s been happening in the children’s publishing industry!
YAing Updates
First, let’s start with what’s been happening at Young Adulting since I last wrote you! Here’s a recap of the fantastic reviews we’ve published:
- “While Foul Lady Fortune is loosely based on Shakespeare’s comedy As You Like It, the spy noir storyline, sci-fi and fantasy twists, and turbulent political backdrop all mark the novel as wholly distinct and highly entertaining.” Claudine Yip reviews Foul Lady Fortune by Chloe Gong
- “Full of fun phrases and adorable illustrations, What Does Little Crocodile Say? is a fantastic picture book with so many valuable lessons to offer young readers.” Gabrielle Tselos reviews What Does Little Crocodile Say? by Eva Montanari
- “Who Owns the Clouds? is a deeply empathic story depicting the innocent people whose lives are affected by the bitterness of war.” Charlotte Mundy reviews Who Owns the Clouds? by Mario Brassard, illus. Gerard DuBois, transl. Yvette Ghione
